SUP

John and Kate
Not "sup" as in what's up, its S.U.P. or stand up paddle board.  Pictures from one lovely evening.
John with Kate, Chris with Elena, Elena pulling some "stand up" moves, yeah!

Friends - Elena and Kate

surfer girl
Lindsey learned a few new words in Hawaii. "Kate" was easy, "Elena" was a little harder to enunciate and took a week to master, "friends" was somewhere in between.   I look back at these pictures from last month and think about what wonderful friends we have.  We became friends with John and Adrienne 15 years ago, now our girls are friends.  We love you guys!

Does it get any better than sharing a boogie board 3 ways?

Hawaii - Sea kayaking

We didn't know how we would fare but it was a smashing success!  Our 3rd day in Hawaii we sea kayaked up a river and hiked into a water fall.  The girls loved it, and us parents didn't mind...:)

Beautiful trees on the Wailua river, Kauai, Hawaii!

Not Fisher-Williams but Dr. Fischl and Williams.  Don't forget their lovely daughters Elena and Kate.
Go team - 1.5 miles in/1.5 out!
My dad rocks.
Break time - pb & j
Partners in crime, Adrienne and Kate.

At the take out - 4 hours later, all smiles.

Four Generations

Lindsey and I visited Eugene in late February.  Mom had business in Corvallis so Nana babysat for the week.  It was a great way to catch up with the family.
Four generations of lovely women!

She looks good on you Ted!
Uncle Ted and Bandon are lots of fun when Uncle Ted isn't working :)!

Break time

This pic was taken in mid-February.  Chris and I went to Jackson Hole with good friends Adrienne, John, Carol, Mark, Abbie, and Steve.   It was a nice break from parenting but look forward to the day that Lindsey enjoys skinning up 25 short and enjoy the same view.

Does Sarah sit on the potty?

Lindsey has a book about a girl named Sarah.  The book starts with questions like "does a zebra sit on the potty", " does the giraffe sit on the potty", " does the sheet sit on the potty", and finally the question comes "does Sarah sit on the potty".    So far, the answers Lindsey gives to all these questions is "no".   But Dad brought home a potty from the store a couple months ago.  Its currently decorating our living room.  Maybe sometime soon the answer to "does Lindsey use the potty" is "yes".  While I find myself thinking about these future milestones, its bitter sweet to think about how fast these phases fly by.
