I had some extra vacation to burn before the end of the year. My mom hadn't seen Lindsey since October so I thought no better Christmas present for Grandma (AKA Nana) than for Lindsey and I to fly to Eugene and show up in her sewing room while she's wrapping some Christmas presents. We stayed for 4 days and had a lovely time. Mom, Gammy, Aunt Vicki and I went to see Fiddler on the Roof while Imants babysat. We made popcorn balls, played in the "sain" which is our term for Oregon mix of rain and snow. Lindsey took her first sled ride on an old from my Mother's childhood. It was a great way to kick off the Christmas holiday!

Hmmm...not sure about this Santa hat...who is this Santa guy anyway?
Lindsey was a zebra for Halloween. We went to HP to trick-or-treat, and then up to the Parker's for a slumber party with Elsinore, Ab, Steve, and Kelli. I don't think Lindsey understood the trick-or-treat concept but she did understand quite quickly that when you are 16 months old, it perfectly acceptable to pull fist-fulls of candy out of the bowl at once.
I worked from home on Monday. Chris and Lindsey were hanging out around the house. During a work break we played out in the front yard in all the beautiful yellow leaves.
We visited Sandpoint, Idaho on our way to and from Libby, Montana where we attend cousin Mike Marrozzo's service. We found a local roasting company in Sandpoint, and across from the coffee shop was a fabulous old Grain Mill building that had been converted to a climbing gym. We played on the former loading dock and Chris took some photos.
She's 16 months old already. She runs, climbs, slides, and swings. She says mama, dada, duck (sounds like truck), shoe, fish, and a few other words. She likes to be outside in the evening hours instead of inside. She enjoys playing with other kids and I think she's fond of us as well. But most of all, she loves dogs and dirt.
